About Lector Reader
Church Lector Readers Is a very rewarding ministry This is the role of the Reader- Ministers of the Word who read the Old and New Testament passages, lead the Prayer of the Faithful, or share announcements during worship. Preparation Tools- commonly use resources like the daily lectionary, an Ordo (calendar guide), and lector workbooks for pronunciation and historical context. Placement- Proclaim the readings from the physical lectern, ambo, or pulpit at the front of the sanctuary. All are welcome to sign up to read. If you have any questions, Pastor Josh can enlighten you and answer any concerns you may have.
